KANNUR: A student sustained serious injuries after falling from the school building in Payyavoor. The girl was a plus two student of Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School. The girl, who sustained serious injuries has been admitted at a private hospital in Kannur.

The incident happened Monday morning at 8.10 am. She jumped from the third floor of the school building. She was a plus two science stream student. She took the drastic step when her exams were scheduled to start today. She was disturbed by some family issues. The police said that her mother was all set to go abroad and that she was disappointed over it. The girl, who reached school this morning, tried to commit suicide after going to the top of the building. She is presently in the ICU of the hospital.
