THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Trains that don't require reservation will start running from October 6. The Thiruvananthapuram division will have nine trains. In addition to the existing special memo, season tickets will also be issued on these. Express special trains be having more stops like passenger trains. Season tickets that had validity after March 24, when train services stopped, can be used on these trains. The railways also relaxed restrictions on stations. Passengers can use the restrooms. Covid norms must be met. Reservations in general compartments on long-distance express trains will continue.
Trains that don't need reservation: Train No. 06448 Ernakulam Junction-Guruvayur Express will leave Ernakulam Junction at 7.50 pm on Wednesday. The train will reach Guruvayur at 10.30 pm. On Thursday, the train will leave Guruvayur at 6.50 am and reach Ernakulam Junction at 9.25 am.
The Alappuzha-Ernakulam Express (06452) will start running from Thursday. The train will leave Alappuzha at 6 pm and reach Ernakulam Junction at 7.35 pm. The Ernakulam-Alappuzha Express (06449) will leave Ernakulam Junction at 7.20 am and reach Alappuzha at 9.00 am.
The Thiruvananthapuram Central Palaruvi (06640) Express will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 5.05 pm on Wednesday. The train will reach Punalur at 8.15 pm. The train will leave Punalur at 6.30 am on Thursday and arrive at Thiruvananthapuram at 9.30 am the next day.
The Kottayam-Kollam Special (06431) will leave Kottayam at 5.30 am on Friday and arrive at Kollam at 7.50 am.
The Kollam-Thiruvananthapuram Express (06425) will leave Kollam at 3.50 pm on Friday and arrive at Thiruvananthapuram at 5.45 pm.
Train No. 06435 Thiruvananthapuram Central-Nagercoil Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 6 pm on Friday and arrive at Nagercoil at 7.55 pm.
