'From commoner to winner'; Cash prize announced for Bigg Boss runner-up Aneesh

Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 ended a few days ago. Anumol, popular through television serials, was crowned the winner this time. Anumol received prizes, including a cash prize and a car. Aneesh, a commoner who entered the show, ended up as the runner-up.

This is the first time in Bigg Boss Malayalam history that a commoner secured second prize. The support was massive for Aneesh, that many even doubted the chances of this Thrissur native taking home the winner's title. Anumol’s victory was later subjected to criticism as many raised doubts over the ruthless PR work favouring the actress on social media. People opined that this had changed the tide in her favour, resulting in her win.

Amidst this debate on social media, Confident Group Chairman Roy CJ announced a cash prize of Rs 10 lakhs for Aneesh. Confident Group is one of the main sponsors of the show.

Earlier, there were some rumours on social media that Aneesh received a luxurious flat and a golden visa abroad. However, the rumours were later found to be fake.
