Fire breaks out in Etihad Airways carrying 280 passengers bound to Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI: A fire broke out in Etihad Airways bound to Abu Dhabi from Chennai. The incident happened Tuesday morning. The fire was noticed on the left wing when it was getting ready to take off. The service was then suspended. The fire was brought under control by the fire service personnel.

The flight was carrying 280 passengers at the time of the incident. Th airport authorities said all the passengers and employees are safe as the fire was doused immediately. They also said that the flight suspended service as a precautionary measure. They did not reveal the exact cause of the fire on the plane.
