Woman riding pillion on son-in-law’s bike dies in crash, shocking CCTV visuals out

KOTTAYAM: A woman died after a bike and a tanker lorry collided at Marangattupilly Town in Kottayam. The woman died has been identified as Sophy of Pakalomattom. The accident happened when she was riding pillion with her son-in-law Jimmy of Aruvikkuzhi Pallickathodu.

Sophy was an employee of a gas agency in Pala and the accident happened when she was going for work. The tanker lorry hit the back of her bike. Both Jimmy and Sophy got stuck in between the car and the lorry which came from the opposite direction.

The tanker lorry stopped after taking Jimmy and Sophie stuck on the bike and the two cars forward for a long way. The shocking CCTV visuals of the accident have surfaced. Sophie who was run over by the lorry died on the spot itself. Jimmy has been admitted to the hospital with serious injuries.
