Classrooms of school vandalized after examination; suspension for students

CHENNAI: Students vandalized the classrooms of the school after examination. The incident took place at Dharmapuri government HSS. Students also wrecked the classroom furniture. The video of the incident is circulating on social media. The students of Plus One and Plus Two committed such an act of violence after the completion of their practical examination. The teachers said that the boys and girls entered the classrooms straight after the exam and tore up the papers and then smashed the tables, benches, and fans. The teachers said that despite asking them to stop, the students did not comply.

The Chief Educational Officer K Gunasekharan informed that the students who are involved were suspended for five days. These students are allowed to write the public examination. Also, a departmental inquiry will be conducted against the teachers for not restraining the students. The locals are ready to replace new furniture for the broken ones.
