NEW DELHI: Congress leader K Muraleedharan MP said that he will not contest any more elections. The leader said that he had informed his party workers about it. He also clarified that the party has to decide whether his services are needed.
Muraleedharan criticized that those who keep their mouths shut should experience its advantages and disadvantages. The leader clarified his stand after the KPCC leadership sent a letter for criticizing the party leadership in public.
Let the party leadership decide whether it is beneficial to send such notices to two MPs when the elections are round the corner. The KPCC chief could have spoken to him before issuing the notice, he said.
The KPCC sent notices to Muraleedharan and M K Raghavan stating that public statements are harmful to the party and caution should be exercised. Meantime, Muraleedharan said that a cautionary direction was given and that had not asked an explanation.
