India is already a 'Hindu Rashtra'; no need to establish by Constitution: RSS

NEW DELHI: RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said that India is culturally a Hindu nation. He added that for the last 100 years, RSS has been talking about Hindu Rashtra as a cultural concept and not as a theory. The RSS leader also clarified that the state and nation are two different things. The state is established by the constitution. This is the power of the state. But the nation is a cultural concept. So India is a Hindu nation. There is no need to convert it into a Hindu nation, he said.

Dattatreya criticized Rahul Gandhi's remarks during his visit to Britain. The RSS leader added that those who have turned India into a jail have no right to talk about democracy in the country.
