KANNUR: The CPM has filed a complaint against Swapna Suresh, accused in the gold smuggling case and Vijesh Pillai. Thaliparambu area secretary K Santhosh filed the complaint with the Thaliparambu police. The complaint filed sought action for the smear campaigns against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPM state secretary M V Govindan.

The complaint also demanded a probe on things including forgery of fake documents. The complaint was given to Thaliparambu SHO K Dinesan. The police informed that they received the complaint and will file a case after getting legal advice.

Swapna Suresh had earlier levelled serious allegations against the chief minister and his family. Swapna also alleged that M V Govindan threatened to withdraw it. Although Govindan filed a defamation case yesterday, the chief minister has not yet taken any legal action.
