Drug peddler supplying ganja to hostel inmates nabbed from engineering college women’s hostel

NEDUMANGAD: The police have arrested a drug peddler who used to sell ganja at the women’s hostel of a private engineering college in the city. Anil Krishna (23), a resident of Panavur Kalliyod has been detained. “He used to place ganja packets below the water tank on the terrace and inform the customers. The hostel inmates will take the packets and place the money there”, the police said.

A case has already been filed against the accused for barging into the women’s hostel during night. The hostel employees stopped the accused yesterday while entering the hostel premises and informed the police. According to the police, the accused is a drug addict having six cases against him in Nedumangad police station including one for attacking his mother. The accused has been remanded after producing before the court.
