KOZHIKODE: The passengers of the train said a slim person wearing a red shirt set the coach on fire. The reports that came in first said a dispute between passengers led to the attack.

‘Saw the attacker very closely. We never thought that he would pour petrol and set ablaze the passengers. He was walking towards the coach with two bottles of petrol. I noticed him opening one of the bottles. I first thought that he was going go end his life. When I was about to run, saw him pouring the petrol.

My hair caught fire and did not fall on my clothes. People were seen screaming and crying. The fire spread to some people and all were trying to escape from the fire. He was seen carrying two bottles. Did not notice the bag in his hand,’ a passenger told media.
