Every day, a large number of devotees come to the Mookambika temple in the Kollur village in Byndoor Taluk in the Udupi district. As Mookambika's history is associated with letters or alphabets, the temple is a favorite place for those who love letters. With the beginning of the holiday season and the Ashtabandha Brahmakalashotsava set to take place, many people, especially Malayalis, are planning to visit the temple this season However, those who are planning to travel to visit Goddess Mookambika should be aware of the fact that darshan will not be allowed in the temple for two days in the month of May.

Devotees will not be allowed to enter the temple on May 2 and 3 as the Ashtabandha Brahmakalashotsava will be held in the temple from April 30 to May 11. Priest Subramanya Adiga said that devotees should be aware that the sanctum sanctorum of the temple will be closed on these two days. Devotees will be allowed darshan as usual from May 4 onwards, he added.
