Vizhinjam port to be officially known as ‘Vizhinjam International Seaport’

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala's dream project Vizhinjam International Seaport has been officially named as Vizhinjam International Seaport. The project will also be recorded as PPP Venture of Govt. of Kerala and Adani Vizhinjam Port Pvt. Ltd. The order is based on the decision taken during project review meeting by Minister for Ports. The official logo will be released soon.

Vizhinjam port was named after the contract company Adani during the construction phase. It was mutually agreed upon to prepare a new name and logo. Rs 5,246 crore of the project cost is borne by the state government. The aim is to make the port operational by September.
