NEW DELHI: 2008 Bangalore bomb blast convict and PDP chairman Abdul Nassar Madani gets relaxation from the supreme court of India. The apex court allowed Madani to visit Kerala on bail till July 11. Madani will travel to his homeland with an entourage of Karnataka police. All the security expenses of the police officials should be taken care of by Madani himself, said the court.
The Supreme Court allowed the relaxation of the bail term suggesting the end of the hearing procedures for the case involving Madani. The PDP chairman meanwhile approached the court asking permission to leave for Kerala citing better treatment facilities for his ailing health. Senior advocates Kapil Sibal and Haris Beeran who appeared for Madani informed the court that their client would return to Karnataka at the insistence of the court.
However, the Karnataka government appealed before the court to stymie any bail for Madani but the court acted otherwise. The case will be again considered on the 10th of July by the supreme court.
