THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala has said that the exclusion of Opposition leader VD Satheesan from the government's development programs attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not a right move.

“The government made a lapse in this regard. During the last government’s tenure, I was invited as an opposition leader for the inauguration of Kochi metro by Prime Minister and I attended the event. That was the practice. Opposition leaders were earlier invited for functions of Kerala government that were attended by the Prime Minister”, Chennithala said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation of Digital Science Park. He also inaugurated the Kochi Water Metro along with projects worth Rs 3,200 crore in the ceremony held in Central Stadium.

Prime Minister also initiated a project to upgrade Thiruvananthapuram Central, Varkala Sivagiri and Kozhikode railway stations to international standards. Modi also inaugurated the renovation works of railway stations.
