Youth dies after chain block broke and fell on head while repairing borewell

PALAKKAD: A young man died after the chain block broke and fell on his head while repairing a borewell in Mannarkkad. Another person was injured. The deceased is Moideen (24), son of Chirakkalpadi native Amanullah and Nabeesu. Another youth named Sreejith was admitted to a private hospital in Vattambalam.

Last night around 8 o'clock, the borewell in Harmony Apartment in Kodathipadi broke down. The chain block broke and fell on their heads during repair work.
