KOCHI: The Division Bench of the High Court has said that severe cyber attacks are being made against the court, since the voluntary filing of the case and the remarks being made in the Tanur boat disaster. The court said that some people were upset that the matter was being considered by the court.

"I have been working as part of court proceedings for 32 years. I do not want another tragedy as the case comes before the Chief Justice next week. So the government should stand with the court. Is it anti-government when it is spoken for the people? Judges can't talk. There is a strong cyber attack against the court. Lawyers are also becoming victims of cyber attack.'- Justice Devan Ramachandran said.

The court also criticized that most of the boat accidents in Kerala were caused by overcrowding. When the court inquired what had been done to prevent this, the district collector replied that action had been taken, but the collector only represents a single district. Almost every waterbody has boats now. The court said that we want better and safer tourism.

Aren't you aware of the boats in the state? It is shocking that the boats are operating after overloading. I have been emotionally drained for the past few days. We have lost children. Let the police investigate, we are not interfering. So far it has been tolerated. The line of control has already been crossed. We cannot remain silent in this regard, Justice Devan Ramachandran said.

Interference is made only when the concerned parties fail in the performance of their duties. We are not here to micro-manage. We intervene only when officials fail to do their work. We have the best police force in the country and we need to maintain it. The problem is overcrowding on boats. Do these little boys and women know what center of gravity is? It was heard that 11 people were lost from a single family. We have morality towards the constitution and the people, the court criticized.
