NEW DELHI: Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi did not respond to the question about the incident in which wrestlers went to throw their medals in the Ganga yesterday. Videos of the Union Minister running away without answering the question are already circulating on social media.

Media workers asked her 'What do you have to say about the strike of wrestlers', but the minister did not respond. Then the media persons followed her and asked to comment on the medals being thrown into the Ganges and then Meenakshi Lekhi ran. The minister only told the media workers that the legal proceedings were in progress.

Later in the video, Meenakshi Lekhi is seen running with the security personnel and to get into the car. The media persons asked the minister these questions before the wrestlers went to throw their medals in the Ganges on Tuesday. This video was shared on Congress' Twitter page. After the video went viral, many people came forward with their reactions.

Wrestlers have been protesting in Delhi for more than a month demanding the arrest of National Wrestling Federation President and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh on sexual harassment charges. Then, yesterday, wrestling players came to float the medals they had won for the country in the river Ganga in protest against the denial of justice. Farmer leaders intervened and made the players rethink their decision. Farmer and Jat leaders informed the wrestlers that they were with them. The protest ended and the wrestlers withdrew yesterday with this.
