Noushad developed doubts of Reshma performing black magic, on days with her used to wake up in night with blood in mouth

KOCHI: Noushad (30) of Balussery in Kozhikode stabbed Reshma Ravi of Changanassery in Kottayam, to death after severe mental and physical harassments, in the hotel room. He filmed the entire act on his mobile phone.

Reshma was murdered on Wednesday night at 8.40 pm in an Oyo hotel room at Pottakkuzhi near Kaloor. Noushad was working as a caretaker in the hotel. The police got the visuals of Reshma being tried before killing, from his mobile phone. He was trying to make her answer to his questions. She sustained many deep injuries on her neck and body. The police have recovered the knife used to murder her from the premises of a house nearby.

The visuals show a heated argument between the two. Reshma is heard saying you kill me amidst the dispute. Following that, she was stabbed on her neck. He murdered her alleging that she spoke badly about his physical condition to her friends. He had some doubts that she was performing black magic to make him weak. The accused testified that was the reason for his physical disabilities and when Reshma was with him, he used to wake up in the night with blood in his mouth.

He used to take liquor and drugs. Police said that he was drunk while committing the crime.

The two got acquainted through social media. The police had got information that they used to fight at times. Reshma was working in a private lab. She has been living in Ernakulam for three years. She leaves behind her mother Thankamma and brother Rakesh. She will be laid to rest this afternoon in the premises of her house.
