NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that China has occupied thousands of kilometres of Indian territory and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is covering up the truth. Rahul was speaking at a public event on the last day of his Ladakh tour.
"When I went to Pangong Lake in Ladakh, I found Indian land illegally occupied by China. But the Prime Minister denied it in a meeting of opposition parties. The people of Ladakh know that what the Prime Minister is saying is not true and that China has illegally occupied Indian land. The people of Ladakh stood for the country, including in the Kargil war in 1999. It is the most beautiful place in India. Bharat Jodo Yatra could not come here due to bad weather. Now came to know the love of Ladakhi people firsthand. I will raise his voice in Parliament for basic development here.", Rahul Gandhi said.
Rahul also laid floral tributes at the Kargil War Memorial in Dras.
