First Prime Minister to participate in Madiga Rally; Modi wins hearts of Dalits in Telangana

SECUNDERABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi filled the hearts of Dalit backward sections of Telangana. The Prime Minister arrived in Secunderabad yesterday to address a rally of the Madiga community.

Manda Krishna Madiga, leader of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) broke down in tears as he shared the stage with Modi. "No Prime Minister has ever attended a meeting of Madigas," said Manda Krishna Madiga as Modi stood up with folded hands.

After listening to Manda Krishna Madiga, Modi said, 'I am not here to seek anything from you, but to apologize for all the political parties who have cheated you after independence'. Modi addressed Dalit leader Manda Krishna Madiga as his brother. 'My brother Krishna, you have many helpers in your struggle for justice. From today you have one more'- the audience filled with blue flags at the Cantonment Parade Ground was moved by Modi's words.

This is a crucial phase in the history of Telangana. The government that has been in power for ten years has not been able to fulfil the dreams of the people. Telangana government has cheated the Madiga community. Who will forget the Congress blocking the formation of Telangana? When Telangana was formed after making many sacrifices, that BRS leader forgot you and went to thank Congress. During the Telangana struggle, he promised to make a Dalit Chief Minister. He himself became the chief minister. Instead of irrigation projects for the people of Telangana, the government gave an irrigation scam.

Beware of Congress and BRS. Both are anti-Dalit. BRS insulted Ambedkar by demanding a new constitution. Congress also opposed Ambedkar and did not allow him to win elections twice. Congress denied Bharat Ratna to Baba Sahib.

Modi also said that it is the BJP's promise that the Chief Minister will be from a backward community if the BJP comes to power in Telangana.

The Madigas are one of the biggest forces of the Scheduled Castes in Telangana. They are a Dalit community who historically worked as leather workers and scavengers.
