BJP secures victory in Rajasthan elections amidst Congress infighting

In the recent Rajasthan elections, BJP emerged victorious dealing a blow to the internal conflicts within the Congress party. The election highlighted the failure of Ashok Gehlot's leadership, as his rejection of the Congress President's position and his unilateral decision-making in candidate selection were cited as contributing factors to the party's defeat.

Sachin Pilot, who was replaced by Gehlot, reluctantly adhered to the High Command's insistence to work within the party but refused to campaign jointly. The Congress attempted to salvage its image by announcing numerous free promises and welfare schemes, aiming to overcome negative sentiments from past governance and internal disputes.
