Doctor fired after viral pre-wedding photoshoot in operation theatre

BENGALURU: A young doctor who did a pre-wedding photoshoot inside the operation theater was dismissed from his job. The action was taken against Abhishek, a doctor who is working on a temporary basis in a government hospital in Chitradurga, Karnataka. The Karnataka government's action came after the video of the incident went viral on social media.

The released video was shot inside the theater of the hospital. The video shows a doctor and his fiancee performing surgery on a patient. In the video, the surgery is performed using medical equipment and at the end, the patient and others are laughing. The video is based on a medical theme.

The video was widely criticized on social media. Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao ordered the dismissal of Dr. Abhishek. On his X page, the minister noted that government hospitals are meant to serve the public and not for personal interactions. The minister stated that the facilities provided by the government to the government hospitals should be understood and worked for the health care of the common people and such measures should not be taken from any side.
