Mother of three elopes with male friend, arrested

KOZHKODE: A woman, who eloped with her male friend after deserting her husband and three minor children, has been arrested. The Thiruvambady police arrested Jinu, a native of Aanakkampoyil and her male friend Tom B Tomsy of Kannoth. The action is following the complaint against her for leaving her 10, 14 and 16-year-old children.

Her husband had lodged a missing complaint with the police on January 16. The police in an investigation found that she had eloped with Tom. Tom’s father had also lodged a missing complaint with the Kodanchery police. The police examined the phone calls and took the two into custody from Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu.

They were brought to Thiruvambady police station from there and a case was registered against them under Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act and Section 317 of the IPC. The two were produced at the Thamarassery Judicial First-Class Magistrate Court and remanded for fourteen days.
