KOCHI: The Kerala High Court will consider today KSIDC's (Industrial Development Corporation) plea challenging the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) investigation against chief minister's daughter Veena Vijayan’s company. The petitioners claimed that the SFIO is conducting the inspection without providing a copy of the order for investigation.
The court is considering today the plea filed by the complainant and BJP leader Shone George to join the plea. The high court had earlier rejected KSIDC's plea to impose a stay on the SFIO probe. The court had asked the KSIDC to clarify why it is opposing the probe and its intent.
The high court had asked if there was anything to hide while examining the plea. However, the KSIDC replied that there was nothing to hide. The central government will also clarify its stand in writing today on KSIDC's plea.
