THRISSUR: Kerala witnessed a political shocker on Thursday as former Chief Minister and Congress patriarch K Karunakaran's daughter Padmaja Venugopal announced that she is joining the BJP. Amidst banter on social media. some of the remarks made by Padmaja in an earlier interview are now going viral on social media.

Padmaja said then that she had seen all that her father had gone through and would never go to another party under any circumstances. She also said that she would die as a member of this party.

'My father complains only to God. He doesn't even tell his children about his problems. I will never leave this party. If I am fed up, I can get peace of mind by going to my family. Padmaja Venugopal on Thursday said that it was the Congress that made her join the BJP. She added that she is fed up. and will join the BJP at 5 pm. Padmaja added that the most important thing for a party is a good leader and she sees that kind of good leadership in Modi.
