Two injured after pickup van overturns in Thamarassery Churam

KOZHIKODE: Two people were injured after a pickup van overturned at Thamarassery Churam. A vehicle laden with bananas from Karnataka met with the accident. The natives of Karnataka were injured in the accident that happened Friday morning at 1:30 am.

The pickup van overturned to a depth of twenty feet from the fourth turn to the second turn of the Thamarassery Churam. The driver and his assistant were injured in the accident and they have been admitted to Kozhikode Medical College. Reports said the injuries of both are not serious.

The activists of Thamarassery Churam protection committee and the passengers of vehicles that passed through led the rescue operations. The pickup van has been shifted from the Churam. Traffic has been restored.
