CPM repeatedly deny having links with Sherin, leaders including MLA visit house

KANNUR: CPM leaders visited the house of Sherin killed in the blast while making bomb in Panoor. Panoor area committee member Sudheer Kumar and Poiloor local committee member A Asokan visited the house of Sherin. Koothuparambu MLA K P Mohanan attended the funeral of Sherin. Local leaders and others visited the house while the CPM was repeatedly denying having any connection with Sherin or bomb making. The Panoor Area Committee had earlier explained that Sherin had no connection with the CPM. Meantime, K P Mohanan said that he visited the house being an MLA.

CPM activist Sherin of Kaivelikkal Elikotheentavida Katteendavida was killed in a bomb blast at a house under construction in Kunnothuparambu Muliathottil last Friday morning. Three people were injured in the accident. Vineesh (39) of Valiyaparambu Muliathodu, Vinod (39) of Kunnothuparambu and Kallayeendavida Aswant (28) were injured in the blast. Among them, the condition of Vineesh is very serious. Aswanth sustained injuries on his leg and Vinod on his eye.

Four local workers of the CPM were arrested in the incident. The police arrested Shabinlal (27), Athul (30) Arun (29) and Sayooj (24) in connection with the incident.
