Director Biju Vattappara collapses and dies

PERUMBAVOOR: Renowned film director and screenwriter of several television serials and documentaries Biju Vattappara (54) collapsed and died in Muvattupuzha on Monday. The body has been shifted to the Muvattupuzha Taluk Hospital.

He is the director of films like Suresh Gopi-starrer 'Ramaravanan' and 'Swantham Bharya Zindabad'. He also wrote the screenplay of the movie 'Kalabham'. He also published novels like Chakkara Vava, and Velutha Kathrina and many stories and poems. He won the Kadavanad Kuttikrishnan Sahitya Award for his poetry collection 'Idavazhiyum Thumbapoovum'.

He was also an active worker of film organizations. He had also worked as the private secretary of Kamala Suraiyya.
