THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Popular film producer and director Aroma Mani (M Mani) has passed away. He died at his residence at Kunnukuzhy in Thiruvananthapuram. He was 85. He has produced nearly 62 films under the banner of Aroma Movies and Sunitha Productions.
Aroma Mani’s first production venture was Dheerasameere Yamunaatheere released in 1977 with Madhu in the lead role. The two films Thinkalaazhcha Nalla Divasam and Doore Doore Oru Koodu Koottam, he produced had got national awards. The last film he produced was Artist with Fahadh Faasil in the lead role.
He has directed seven films namely Aa Divasam (1982), Kuyiline Thedi (1983), Engane Nee Marakkum (1983), Muthodu Muthu (1984), Ente Kalithozhan (1984), Aanakkorumma (1985) and Pachavelicham (1985).
