No tatkal tickets, No travel reservation; Railway e-ticketing service down

NEW DELHI: IRCTC's e-ticket system for booking train tickets was suspended on Monday due to maintenance work. Railways promised to resolve the issue within an hour but asked for cooperation from the people. The sudden glitch in the website mostly affected people waiting to get Tatkal tickets during the early morning hours.

IRCTC also stated that customer care can be contacted for complaints related to cancellations. IRCTC had earlier stated that the updated new app would come out in December. With the new app's arrival, all things like travel tickets, platform tickets and live train tracking will come under one roof. The authorities have instructed that the app upgrade should be completed by this month itself.
