Performed Namaz in middle of road in Palakkad; Woman taken into custody

PALAKKAD: A woman, who performed namaz in the middle of the road amidst snarling traffic in Palakkad, was taken into custody by police on Wednesday. The woman, adorned in religious clothes, offered the namaz in the middle of the road in the busy IMA junction in Palakkad. The South police took the woman into custody.

According to the woman, she offered the namaz on the road in order to grab public attention in a family property dispute. Meanwhile, there are reports that a case may be filed against her for obstructing traffic.
