Woman kills self after murdering two children

PALAKKAD: On murdering children with poison, young woman hangs herself to death. Krishnakumari, wife of Kuzhalamandam native Mahesh, was found dead with Aagnesh(5) and six month old Aagneya.

The unfortunate event happened when Mahesh's mother went out. Mahesh, a daily wage worker, returned home for lunch and found son Aagnesh face-down in the bedroom in front and daughter Aagneya in cradle. Foam was oozing from the mouth of both children. Both were taken to a hospital, but had died.

Shaji Abraham, Palakkad DySP, said the reason for suicide is unclear. Bodies will be handed over to the relatives after postmortem.

Wedding between Mahesh and Krishnakumari, a native of Alathoor Kavassery, was arranged by their family.

Kuzhalmandam police has registered a case in connection with the incident.
