THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The BJP sought a reply from the LDF and the UDF on accepting votes from the SDPI in Nemom and Thiruvananthapuram. BJP Thiruvananthapuram district president V V Rajesh said the SDPI may not have gone there and given their support and that there is a planned move behind it. The people have recognized of making an alliance with the separatists, he said.

SDPI Thiruvananthapuram district president Siyad Kandala had revealed that they stood with V Sivankutty after realizing that the Left was apt to block the victory of Kummanam Rajasekharan in Nemom. The SDPI had claimed that they have 10,000 votes in Nemom. The SDPI leader had asserted that nearly 3,000 votes were given to V S Sivakumar in Thiruvananthapuram. The BJP sought a reply from Sivankutty and Sivakumar on it.

The SDPI leader said that except Nedumangad and Vamanapuram where they contested, both the fronts had requested for votes. The SDPI understanding has led to new controversies in the capital district, where even a slight vote difference could have a major impact.
