Nun found dead in well at Kureepuzha in Kollam

KOLLAM: A nun was found dead in a well of the convent at Kureepuzha in Kollam. The body found in the well of St Joseph’s Convent is that of Mable Joseph (42), a native of Pavumba in Karunagapally. Initial reports said that it is a case of suicide.

A suicide note has been recovered from the room. The note said that she is taking the drastic step as she is unable to bear the physical difficulties and the issues related to allergy. The note said that her body would be in the well. No one is involved in her death and no one drove her to do so. The letter was found in a search conducted for her after she was not seen for the morning prayers. The body was later found in the well. She reached the convent a month back.

Police said a detailed probe will be conducted on the incident.
