Two levels of virtual Praveshanotsavam ceremony this time; SSLC evaluation from June 7 to 25, says education minister

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: This time Praveshanotsavam in the state will be held virtually on June 1. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the KITE VICTERS channel at 9.30 am, said Education Minister V Sivankutty. The state level school inauguration will be held at Cotton Hill Higher Secondary School in the capital city on the same day at 11 am. There will be only digital classes initially.

There will be bridge classes and revisions linking last year's lessons. The minister said conversation classes between teachers and students will be conducted later.

The uniforms are ready for distribution to children. 70% of the first part of textbooks has been printed. The minister sought the help of the public for the distribution of digital educational equipment. The SSLC evaluation will be from June 7 to June 25. SSLC IT practical has been cancelled. Higher Secondary VHSC evaluation will be from June 1 to 9. Higher Secondary VHSC Practical will be from June 21 to July 7.

A final decision has not been taken on plus one exams. The minister said a final decision will be taken by the chief minister in two days’. Plus two classes will begin on June 1, he said.
