Transgender found dead in Kochi

KOCHI: A transgender was found dead at her rented house in Vyttila, Kochi. The body of Sree Dhanya (30) of Kozhikode was found last night. The body is of two days old and there is no mystery in it, said Maradu inspector who conducted the inquest.

She was suffering from fever and vomiting for the past few days. Her friends staying nearby used to send her food. Following suspicion of Covid, they failed to attend her. She had gone to the hospital and conducted a Covid test.

Though her body was found last night, the police completed the inquest proceedings only this morning. The body has been shifted to Ernakulam General hospital for post-mortem.
