Drishya murder case in Perinthalmanna: Accused attempts suicide by consuming mosquito coil

MALAPPURAM: Vineesh, accused in Drishya murder case in Perinthalmanna, attempted suicide. He was remanded in sub-jail. He has been admitted to the hospital after he consumed mosquito coil. Police said his condition is satisfactory.

Vineesh stabbed Drishya (21), a LLB student at Eladu in Perinthalmanna for rejecting his love. The incident happened last week.

He set fire to her father Balachandran’s toy shop in Perinthalmanna to create a favourable situation for him to attack her.

He entered her house after all went to the shop. He stabbed her to death after entering her room on the first floor. Drishya’s sister too sustained injuries in the attack.
