THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Sri Lanka has extended an invitation to Kitex, which has withdrawn from investing in Kerala, alleging that the government is hounding them. Sri Lanka announced support for Kitex's investment plans. Sri Lanka Deputy High Commissioner Durai Sami said in a meeting with Kitex MD Sabu Jacob that the company would be provided with good facilities in Sri Lanka. Durai Sami was in Kochi from Sri Lanka for discussions. Earlier, Bangladesh had also invited Kitex for investment.
Meanwhile, Sabu Jacob had said that the initial steps of the Rs 1,000 crore investment with Telangana would be completed soon.
