Restaurant employee in Dubai wins Onam bumper of Rs 12 crore

DUBAI: The Malayalees are still searching for the lucky winner who won the Thiruvonam Bumper Lottery, the biggest prize money in the history of the state lottery. The reports that came in said the lucky winner is not in Kerala but in Dubai. The lucky winner is Saidalavi, a native of Panamaram in Wayanad, who paid the money via Google Pay and bought the picture of the lottery ticket on Whatsapp through his friend. This 45-year old is working in a restaurant in Dubai.

Saidalavi bought the ticket through his friend, a native of Palakkad, a week ago. He sent the money via Google Pay and his friend sent the photo of the ticket on Whatsapp. When Saidalavi knew that he won the prize, he asked his son to go and see the ticket and get convinced.

Jasim Kutty, a native of Thaliparambu and a YouTuber of Dubai informed the news to the world through a TikTok video. Both of them stay in the same building. Ticket No T E 645465 distributed at Kollam Karunagapally sub office won the first prize. Saidalavi will get Rs 7.39 crore after 10% agent prize and income tax.
