Kerala records 7823 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, 106 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 7823 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. Among these, 7353 persons developed the disease through contact, including 382 cases without an identified source of infection. 35 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 53 health workers contracted the disease on Tuesday.

12,490 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 96,646 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 106 deaths due to the virus on Tuesday with the toll rising to 26,448.

Thrissur 1178, Ernakulam 931, Thiruvananthapuram 902, Kozhikode 685, Kottayam 652, Kannur 628, Palakkad 592, Kollam 491, Alappuzha 425, Pathanamthitta 368, Malappuram 366, Idukki 285, Wayanad 227, Kasaragod 93.
