NEW DELHI: Congress High Command said that KPCC can decide on taking action against KV Thomas who earlier announced that he will attend CPM party congress seminar. KV Thomas was banned by the KPCC and the high command will not will not go beyond the state wing's decision. The High Command will also accept the decision of the KPCC.
KV Thomas said he would attend the CPM seminar challenging the High Command decision. He stated that the party leaders have tried to insult and threaten him. When he announced that he would attend the seminar, he made it clear that he was a Congress worker by birth and would not leave the party.
The KPCC leadership warned that Thomas would have to leave the party if he attends the CPM party seminar. K Sudhakaran had said that he did not think that Thomas would participate in the CPM program by violating the ban. However, KV Thomas had earlier informed Sonia Gandhi and Tariq Anwar that he would be attending the seminar. CPM seminar is of national importance. Congress and CPM are working together outside Kerala and asked why this hostility still exists.
