KOCHI: The Kerala High Court has rejected a plea seeking a CBI probe into the murder of RSS activist Sanjith. The court directed the police chief to monitor the investigation.
The plea was filed by Sanjith's wife seeking a CBI probe. The police had strongly opposed the plea. The probe team had informed the court that the investigation was going well. The state government said that a few accused had been arrested and in this situation the case should not be handed over to another agency.
Sanjith was hacked to death by a car-borne gang on November 15. He was attacked at Kinasseri Mambaram near Palakkad-Thrissur national highway. The incident happened when he was travelling in his bike along with his wife.
