NEW DELHI: A Nepal plane carrying 22 passengers went missing on Saturday. Reports suggest that four Indians were on board. The plane, which was flying from Pokhara to Jomsom, lost contact with airport authorities and went missing shortly after take-off.
“The aircraft was seen over the sky of Jomsom in Mustang district and then had diverted to Mount Dhaulagiri after which it hadn't come into contact," said chief district officer Netra Prasad Sharma.
There were 19 passengers and a three-member crew on board. The plane has been identified as a Tara Air 9 NAET twin-engine aircraft. It was led by captain Prabhakar Prasad Ghimire.
