Eight class student collapses, dies, cause of death yet to be ascertained, she had no illness, say parents

KANNUR: An eighth standard student collapsed and died at Panoor in Kannur. She has been identified as Farmi Fathima, daughter of Abdul Rasaq and Afsa of Puthucode.

She was a student of Mokeri Rajeev Gandhi Higher Secondary School. She collapsed after developing uneasiness. She was later admitted at a hospital in Thalassery but died in the morning. Her parents said that she did not have any other health issues.

The body has been shifted to Thalassery General Hospital for post mortem. Only after the post mortem, the cause of death can be ascertained, informed the police.
