Tribal boy assault incident; suspends security guard, Minister seeks report

THRISSUR: The security guard of the pre-matric hostel in Vettilapara has been suspended by the government for beating up a tribal boy. Security guard Madhu was suspended. Minister K Radhakrishnan has sought a report from the Director of Scheduled Tribes.

The security guard assaulted a tenth-standard student staying at Vettilapara government pre-matric hostel. The boy is a native of Adachil thotti ooru.

The student said that Madhu had beaten him on the shoulder with a bamboo stick while he was singing by beating on desk.

The Child Rights Commission has sought a report from the police and the District Child Protection Officer on the incident. SC and ST Commission, which voluntarily filed a case, sought a report from the District Collector, SP and the Tribal officer. Police have registered a case in the incident.
