Covid cases on the rise in country, more deaths in Kerala

NEW DELHI: The Covid cases in India are increasing day-by-day. The country reported 20,038 fresh cases in the last 24 hours. With this, the total case count has gone up to 4,37,10,027.

According to union health ministry’s data, there are currently 1,39,073 active cases in the country. Lately, 47 deaths were reported raising the death toll to 5,25,604.

Out of the total 47 deaths, 20 were reported in Kerala. Five deaths were recorded in West Bengal and four in Maharashtra.

Meantime, although there has been a rise in the Covid cases, the recovery rate is 98.48 per cent, said the union health ministry.
