Security breach during Chief Minister's trip: SHO transferred

KOCHI: The police took action in the security breach incident during Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's trip to Kochi. A Youth Congress activist had staged protest against CM in Kakkanad, last day. He jumped in front of CM's car, obstructing his journey. The activist also waved a black flag at the Chief Minister and hit his car's window several times with his hand.

SHO G Sabu of Elamakkara station, who was in charge of Chief Minister's security has been transferred after the incident. The transfer order was issued by State police chief Anil Kant.

Sabu has been transferred to Vadanapally police station. Vadanapally SHO Saneesh has been been appointed as Elamakkara SHO. The order did not mention that the transfer was due to a security breach. The order only mentions the action as a normal transfer.
