Several trains running late due to heavy rain, Ernakulam passenger cancelled

KOCHI: Train services could not be restored due to waterlogging in the railway track in Ernakulam. The Ernakulam passenger scheduled to leave Kayamkulam at 8.50 am has been cancelled. Eranad, Raptisagar and Bilaspur Superfast trains will be delayed.

16606 Mangaluru Eranad Express scheduled to depart from Nagercoil at 2 pm will be delayed by an hour. The Gorakhpur Raptisagar Superfast scheduled to leave Kochuveli at 6.35 am today will be delayed by six hours and 10 minutes.

The officials informed that the superfast to Bilaspur supposed to leave Ernakulam at 8.30 am will leave at 11.15 am. There was heavy rain in Ernakulam yesterday. Major roads including MG Road are submerged in water. Transportation was disrupted for hours. Many houses are flooded.
