THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The LDF will organise a protest meeting today in front of Raj Bhavan, demanding an end to Governor Arif Mohammad Khan's actions to demolish universities in Kerala. Instead of directly leading the protest, the Left Front has formed a collective called the Higher Education Protection Committee to lead the protest. Although the Left had initially announced a Raj Bhavan blockade, it later decided to organise a protest meeting. The Left hopes to demonstrate its strength by mobilizing one lakh people. CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury will inaugurate the protest meeting. Educationists, scholars and prominent people in the fields of social, cultural, art and literature will participate in the gathering which will start at 10 am. DMK leader Tiruchi Siva MP, CPM state secretary M.V. Govindan, CPI State Secretary Kanam Rajendran, LDF Convenor E.P. Jayarajan, Jose K. Mani, Matthew T. Thomas, P.C. Chacko, Varughese George, Ramachandran Kadnapally, P.C. Joseph, K.B. Ganesh Kumar, Benoy Joseph and others will participate
